Parliamentary Secretaries of the 9th Dáil
On 21 July 1937, the members of the 9th Dáil met for the first time. Éamon de Valera was elected as President of the Executive Council by the Dáil. He proposed the members of the 8th Executive Council, a single-party Fianna Fáil government, and they were approved by Dáil Éireann. De Valera later appointed the Parliamentary Secretaries.[1]
