Parliamentary Secretaries of the 3rd Dáil

On 6 December 1922, on the day of the coming into operation of the Constitution of the Irish Free State, W. T. Cosgrave was appointed as President of the Executive Council by the Governor-General on the nomination of Dáil Éireann. These were the members of the 3rd Dáil who had been elected in the general election held on 16 June 1922. Cosgrave proposed the 1st Executive Council of the Irish Free State was appointed by the Governor-General on the approval of the Dáil. The new government was formed by the Pro-Treaty faction of Sinn Féin, which later became Cumann na nGaedheal. The Executive Council appointed the following Parliamentary Secretaries.[1] These were newly created offices.
