Parliamentary Secretaries of the 17th Dáil
On 11 October 1961, the members of the 17th Dáil met for the first time. Seán Lemass was appointed as Taoiseach by the president on the nomination of the Dáil. He proposed the members of the 11th Government of Ireland, a single-party Fianna Fáil government, which was approved by Dáil Éireann for appointment by the president on 12 October 1961. On the same day, Lemass appointed the Parliamentary Secretaries.[1]
