Micoló is a settlement in Lobata District in the northern part of São Tomé Island in São Tomé and Príncipe. Its population is 1,008 (2008 est.),[1] Micoló is also the seat of its subdistrict (municipality) that covers the northeast of the district. The origin of the name is likely of Angolan origin (estimate Angolan origin: Mikolo). Its location is by the coast, situated by Rio do Ouro (the golden river) and its beach, Ilhéu das Cabras is roughly 1-2 km northeast.
Micoló are connected with a beach road connecting the capital São Tomé and southwest to Conde.
