Praia das Conchas is a settlement and a beach in the south end of the Lobata District on São Tomé Island in São Tomé and Príncipe on a road linking with the EN2 towards the west. Its population is 487 (2008 est.),[1] It is located NNW of the capital São Tomé and north of Guadalupe.

Praia Guegue, another beach and also a settlement (sometimes as another Praia das Conchas) is to the east and west is Lagoa Azul.

About the village

Agriculture is the dominant industry.

A species of bat, the São Tomé free-tailed bat (Chaerephon tomensis) is founded in the area.[2]
