Janardhan Singh Sigriwal is an Indian politician of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Parliament of India) representing Maharajganj (Lok Sabha constituency).[1] Earlier He won Bihar assembly elections in 2000, Feb-2005, October 2005 from Jalalpur.[2] He represented Chapra seat since 2010 in Bihar assembly. He was also Minister of Labour Resources.[3] He was a sports and youth minister in Nitish Kumar cabinet.

Background family and education

He was born in Rajput village in Saran district in Bihar. He studied in local schools and Rajendra Colleges, Chapra. At present his residence is in Jalalpur (Block) in Saran district in Bihar.

Political career

He was elected mla from jalalpur seat firstly. After that he shifted to chhapra seat and won that seat.He remained mla of chhapra till he won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Maharajganj .He defeated the criminal turned heavyweight rajput leader of that region.He was among the ministers who were removed when jdu broke the alliance unilaterally.
