Radha Mohan Singh (born 1 September 1949) is an Indian politician having affiliations with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who is the Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, India. Singh was president of BJP's Bihar State unit from 2006 to 2009. He was elected to 11th Lok Sabha, 13th Lok Sabha, 15th Lok Sabha and is currently a member of the 16th Lok Sabha. He represents Purvi Champaran constituency in Bihar state. He was inducted in Narendra Modi led central government as a cabinet minister and currently holds the portfolio of Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, India.[1] [2] He listed cow protection and better breeding of Indian cows as one of his priorities.[3]
Early life
Since his youth, he has been an active RSS Swayamsevak. He embarked upon a political career after becoming a member of Jan Sangh and BJP. His political journey has always been on an upward trajectory and it continued when he became the Union Cabinet Minister. After assuming charge, he said: “Our mission is to empower farmers of the country.
