Gaurav Bhatia is the National Spokesperson of BJP and also the Honorary Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association. He was earlier the National Spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party and National President of the Legal Wing of the Samajwadi Party. He is an Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India. He is the son of Virendra Bhatia, a former member of the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of the Parliament of India) and Advocate General of the state of Uttar Pradesh.[1] He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Bridgeport, in Connecticut, USA and graduated in law from Lucknow University.[2] He has been elected as the Honorary Secretary of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) twice from 2015 to 2017.[3] Gaurav Bhatia was a National Spokesperson and the National President of the Legal Wing of the Samajwadi Party.[1][3] He left the party on 5 February 2017 and joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 2 April 2017.[4][5]
