Jain University is a higher education institute located in Bengaluru, India. Origination from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, it was conferred the deemed to be university status in 2009.

History

Jain University originates from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC), established by the JGI GROUP in 1990.[1] It was conferred deemed to be university status in 2009.[2]

Academics

the University offers more than 100 UG and PG programs in commerce, sciences, humanities and arts, engineering and technology and management.[3] It also offers courses for working professionals in the field of Business Administration, Engineering and Information technology.

Accreditation

In 2017, University got accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A grade.[4]

Student life

Jain University campus housing system can accommodate nearly 85 percent of the student population. The residential system has a number of "living-learning communities" where academic activities and residential life are combined.

Hostel accommodation

Jain University offers both on-campus (JGI Global Campus) and off-campus accommodations in different locations in Bangalore. The residential arrangements are separate for the sexes. University accommodations are managed by the Hostel Management Division.[6]
