Chamrajpet is a locality in the central part of the city of Bengaluru. It is bordered by Basavanagudi, Banashankari, Chickpet and Majestic.

Languages spoken: Kannada and English. Chamarajpet is one of the oldest areas in Bengaluru. 2.9 km far from Bangalore City Railway Station and BMTC, and 37.1 km to Kempegowda International airport. The main commercial street of Chamrajpet is the Bazar street and the continuation of which is the popular Bull Temple Road.

Chamarajapet was founded in 1892 and the 125 years of the area was celebrated with a 3 day festival in the year 2017.

Chamarajapet houses many historical sites such as the Kote Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Swamy Temple, The Fort High School, Tippu Sulthan Summer Palace, Minto hospital to name a few.

The area becomes musical every year during the Months of April and May i.e in the Rama Navami season. Sree Ramaseva Mandali RCT one of the premier cultural organisations of the country organised it's annual global music festival in the grounds of Fort High School which hosts the who's who of Indian Classical Music.

The area is also home to many companies into agarbathis and related stuff. The area is composed of 5 main roads and more than 9 crossroads. A temple is located on every main road. The layout was referred as the Chess Box Colony, given that when they were originally built, they all had square dimensions of 108 by 108 feet, that looked like chess boards.

Nearest Metro station is the K.R.Market metro station.
