Uttarahalli is a suburb of Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. There are several beautiful layouts in the area. What was once considered outskirts of the city, is now a bustling part of the extended south Bengaluru. Uttarahalli main road is now one of the busiest roads in South Bengaluru due to the fact that the road connects Uttarahalli/Kanakapura road to Kengeri/Mysore road. The Uttarahalli-Kengeri road is used by many vehicles bound to Mysore to avoid the highway traffic.

Uttarahalli is connected very well by the BMTC bus network, with the Depot 33 (Poornaprajna layout) within 1 km radius from the bus station.

Nearest Namma Metro station is Banashankari metro station. Yelachenahalli metro station is also not very far from the area.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Uttarahalli had a population of 10,467. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Uttarahalli has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 61%. In Uttarahalli, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. It was India's largest electoral constituency.it is in bangalore.[1]
