The Fox Cities of Northeastern Wisconsin are the cities, towns and villages along the Fox River as it flows from Lake Winnebago northward into Green Bay.

The Fox Cities communities as defined by its Chamber of Commerce are:[1]

The area's shopping includes the Fox River Mall, the largest mall in the state at 1.2 million square feet.[2]

Area post-secondary schools include Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Lawrence University in Appleton, and University of Wisconsin–Fox Valley in Menasha.

Public mass bus service for the area is provided by Valley Transit and GO Transit. The Appleton International Airport provides commercial airline service for the area. Wittman Regional Airport, in nearby Oshkosh, enhances general aviation service for the area.

Major highway routes in the area include the: Interstate 41/U.S. Route 41 which connects the Fox cities with Green Bay and Milwaukee. The Wisconsin Highway 441 is an auxiliary highway of the 41 and serves as a beltway around the Appleton Metropolitan area. The U.S. Route 10 runs east to west and connects the Fox Cities with Stevens Point and Waupaca. The U.S. Route 45 connects Oshkosh to U.S. Route 10.
