Vulcânico made an 18 match unbeaten streak at the regional championships, their last loss was on March 22, 2016 where they lost to Spartak 2-3, their next and last was to Nô Pintcha Mosteiros.

Nô Pintcha held the number one spot for the first two rounds, Académica Fogo took it up to the 11th round on February 25, Vulcânicos took it for the rest of the season. In the first part, the club only had a point difference, Vulcânico lost to Nô Pintcha on April 1 and Académica Fogo made a goal draw with ABC Patim, in the last few rounds Vulcânicos and Académcia had the same points but Vulcânicos scored more and finished with Vulcânicos scoring 66 goals, five more than Académica.
