The 2016-17 season would start first. Their first match was on November 6, the first held in the earliest part of November, where the club lost to Académica da Praia and ADESBA was placed last. Their position rose to seventh in the following week after defeating ADESBA and scored the season's first goals,[2] a second loss was followed and was to Desportivo. A second won was followed where they defeated Boavista.[3] ADESBA's first draw was made on December 9 with Tchadnese. Win number three was made in the year's final match where they defeated Eugénio Lima.[4] At the eighth round, ADESBA made a two match winning streak, first to Benfica then to Vitòria.[5] Their fourth loss was made and was to Garridos on January 28. ADESBA defeated Travadres on February 3,[6] then they lost to Académica, then they defeated Celtic again on February 17,[7] then lost to Desportivo. Their next single goal draw in ten rounds and eleven matches were made on March 4 with Boavista, it was scored by Walter and tied the goal total of 19 with Académica for a week, which was fifth behind Travadores and ahead of Tchadense. A second consecutive draw with Tchadense was made, no goals were scored this time and Académica's totals rose and put the goal totals to sixth.[8] In four matches, another win was made over Eugénio Lima and put their position to fifth and scored their season's 20th goal. [9] ADESBA suffered their seventh loss after losing to the mighty Sporting 0-2, a two goal draw was made with Benfica Praia but remained fifth in the region, Walter scored one goal.[10] Another loss was made after losing to a club who will participate in the Second Division in the following season, Vitória, historically Praia's top four, today the most unsuccessful of the original four, the result was 1-2 and the club conceded 31 goals, fourth worst ahead of Travadores. A second straight loss was followed to another ailing club Os Garridos 2-1 on April 22 and their positions dropped to sixth, the only scorer was Walter. Their last match of the season was a victory (next in 5 matches) over a long time popular club Travadores on April 28 and the score was 7-1 and made it the club's highest scoring match of the season[11] and another second most in the region with Garridos', Bairro brought back the fifth position and finished it for the season with 31 goals, sixth behind Travadores, also Walter, scored 4/7 headed to become the region's fifth most goals with twelve, he had nearly 40% of the club's goals scored in the season. ADESBA had the fifth worst in goal concessions with 33 ahead of Benfica Praia's, up from fourth in the 21st round, most of them were conceded away. Of its 9 wins and losses, 5 each were at home.
