The 1988 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 100th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The championship ended on 16 October 1988.

Midleton entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Blackrock in Round 2.

On 16 October 1988, St. Finbarr's won the championship following a 3-18 to 2-14 defeat of Glen Rovers in the final. This was their 24th championship title and their first in four championship seasons.[1]
