Azra District

Azra District is a district of Logar Province, Afghanistan. It is located in the eastern part of the district and is 140km from the capital Kabul.[1] It was moved from Paktia Province. The district is geographically isolated from the capital of Logar. The primary agriculture in the district is hemp. The population in 2019 was estimated to be 22,588.[2] Mostly Pashtun from Ahmadzai tribe. Azra District has played crucial role during Russian war as it was the main supply route for Mojahiden. Main town are Baber, kathwal, kharoti, shahhin, Akbarkhil, chutra, Mangal, Speen Jumat etc. District headquarter and hospital along with high school are located in the Akbarkhil town.
