The 1972 United States presidential election in Kentucky took place on November 7, 1972, as part of the 1972 United States presidential election. Kentucky voters chose nine[2] representatives, or electors, to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.
Kentucky was won by incumbent President Richard Nixon (R–California), with 63.77 percent of the popular vote, against George McGovern (D–South Dakota), with 34.77 percent.[3][4]
