Sehikhpura Kothi, currently leased and operated as WelcomHeritage Sheikhpura Kothi, is an 1818 CE heritage building, built by the adventurer James Skinner in french architecture, in Hansi city of Haryana, India. It was ranked as the 2nd best hotel in Hisar by TripAdvisor in 2012. It is 154 kilometres (96 mi) west of Delhi and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) north-east of center of Hansi, it is located on Hansi-Ugalan road off NH9 Hansi bypass, few hundred meters before the intersection of NH9 and NH12.

History

It was constructed in 1818 by Anglo-Indian British Colonel James Skinner, also the founder of the larger Skinner's estate and 1st Horse (Skinner's Horse) (1803 cavalry regiment of Indian Army) at Hansi.[1] After Independence of India, ownership passed to the family of Seth Chhaju Ram who bought it in a government auction, and later leased it to WelcomHeritage Hotels for its current operation as a heritage hotel.[2][1]
