Sana Ngayong Pasko (International title: A Christmas Hope / lit.Hope This Christmas) is a Philippine television drama series broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Mike Tuviera, it stars Susan Roces. It premiered on December 7, 2009 on the network's Telebabad line up. The series concluded on January 8, 2010 with a total of 25 episodes.[1] It was replaced by The Last Prince in its timeslot.

Premise

Retired teacher Remedios, who suffered terribly during the onslaught of typhoon Ondoy. With no one to turn to, Remedios yearns for her family she lost several years ago because her husband Pablo wrongfully accused her of having an affair with another man.

As the Christmas season begins, her only dream is to embrace her children and reunite with her family. More so, Remedios is running out of time because she is suffering from senile dementia. She needs to show how much she cares for the people she loves and at the same time resolve family issues before her memory fails her completely.

Unknown to Remedios, after Pablo threw her out of the house, he decided to take away all the photos and personal belongings of his wife. He wanted his children to forget their mother even saying the name of Remedios was not permitted in the house.

  • TJ Trinidad as Stephen Dionisio, the youngest son of Remedios. He is the husband of Aisha and the father of Jopet.

According to AGB Nielsen Philippines' Mega Manila household television ratings, the pilot episode of Sana Ngayong Pasko earned a 22.2% rating.[3] While the final episode scored a 25.3% rating.[4]

Accolades

Sana Ngayong Pasko scored two nominations from the Seoul International Drama Awards for the Best Drama and Susan Roces for Best Actress. The result of the awards was yet to known on August 30, 2010.
