Tinik sa Dibdib (International title: Damage / lit.Thorn in Chest) is a Philippine television drama series broadcast by GMA Network. Based on the 1980s film of the same title, the series is the seventeenth installment of Sine Novela. Directed by Gil Tejada Jr., it stars Sunshine Dizon, Nadine Samonte and Marvin Agustin. It premiered on September 28, 2009 on the network's Dramarama sa Hapon line up replacing Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin and worldwide on October 2, 2009 on GMA Pinoy TV. The series concluded on January 22, 2010 with a total of 85 episodes. It was replaced with Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? in its timeslot.

Premise

Lorna has always been the breadwinner of her almost parasitic family, who forced her to sacrifice the education she deserves and even the man that she loves. She fought for the new man in her life named Lando, even if it means getting the ire of her mother and leaving their house. She thought he could save her from the kind of life she has, but little does she know the new house she will live in has more twisted secrets inside. Lorna will try to figure out the mystery between her husband and her step-mother in-law and ex-girlfriend Trixie and Rita, her only key is her crazy sister in law, Corazon. The revelation will only bring her more thorns in her heart. Lorna is having a baby girl because Dr. Ramirez reveals that she is pregnant. Lorna and Lando have a birthday party for her daughter at the end of episode, even Rita and Moret or Corazon are gone except Boyito who is joining with the other kids.

Ratings

According to AGB Nielsen Philippines' Mega Manila household television ratings, the pilot episode of Tinik sa Dibdib earned a 7.4% rating.[2] While the final episode scored a 17.5% rating.[3]
