Synopsis
Vergel is a wealthy and handsome man, but he lives under the thumb of his domineering mother, Amparo. Amparo herself manages her son's future—including the woman he should marry. But Vergel falls in love with a woman named Alona, who is one of their servants. As expected, Amparo intervenes and manages to separate the two. She even threatens Vergel that she won't give him his half of the inheritance if he insists on marrying Alona.
Because of Amparo's evil schemes, Alona decides to give up Vergel. Suffering from the pain of heartache, she goes to the province without any idea that she's pregnant.
18 years later, Alona is now living with her husband Dante, and their three children: Gemma, Joanna, and Butil. Albeit living a modest life, their family is what can be a perfect picture of a happy family, until fate plays a cruel game: Alona and Dante die in an accident. After that tragic event in their lives, the siblings decide to go to Manila to find their luck there. Unbeknownst to them, this is just the beginning of all their agonies.
Another series of unfortunate events will make the siblings become separated from each other: Joanna and Butil fall into the hands of a syndicate. Meanwhile Gemma crosses paths with Vergel (her biological father) when she applied as one of the servants in the latter's mansion. Gemma and Vergel instantly create a special bond—an unexplainable attachment to each other—not knowing that they are really related.
