Because of You is a Philippine television drama romantic comedy series broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Mark A. Reyes and Ricky Davao, it stars Carla Abellana, Rafael Rosell and Gabby Concepcion.[1] It premiered on November 30, 2015 on the network's Telebabad line up replacing Beautiful Strangers,[2] and worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV. After Marimar ended, it was moved to Little Nanay’s timeslot. It returned to its original timeslot when That's My Amboy premiered. The series concluded on May 13, 2016 with a total of 117 episodes. It was replaced by Juan Happy Love Story in its timeslot.

The series is streaming online on HOOQ and YouTube.[3][4]

Premise

When Oliver left the altar when he and Andrea were about to marry each other. Andrea's life takes a turn. While Jaime's wife breaks up with him. The lives of Andrea and Jaime eventually crosses path, and their work and family begin to intertwine into their relationship.[5]

Carla Abellana portrays Andrea Marquez.
Rafael Rosell portrays Oliver Dictado.
Gabby Concepcion portrays Jaime Salcedo.
Valerie Concepcion portrays Veronica Salcedo.

Lead cast

The daughter of Mildred and Conrado, love interest of Oliver and Jaime, rival of Patricia, Veronica and Lucille to Jaime, and bestfriend of Alex and Rebecca. Has a crush on Jaime and cannot fall in love on Oliver anymore because of what he had done to her. Also sometimes Lizzy and her fight because of what Oliver did to her.[6]
The ex-boyfriend of Andrea, and rival of Jaime. He is the reason why the story happens and without him the story will not go on like this. When Andrea become a model of dresses he has a crush on her again and want her to be his wife.
The boss of Andrea and her love interest, former husband of Veronica, son of Feliza, best friend of Dennis, father of Cheska, Michael, Candy and Iñigo, love interest of Patricia, rival of Oliver on Andrea and rival of Henry on Veronica. He is a charming man and girls like him and his kids and mother doesn't vote on Andrea but his bestfriend Dennis do.

A jolly yet sarcastic friend to Andrea who acts as her life guru.[7]

A selfish colleague to Andrea who is bitter of her achievements. She sides with Veronica at times. She formerly likes Jaime and often tries to seduce him but now fell in love with Dennis, Jaime's best friend.
The happy-go-lucky ex-boyfriend of Cheska who prioritized her the least. He will be the bitter rival of Onat to Cheska in the latter part of the series.
Andrea's eccentric friend who loves taking selfies, cracking jokes and satires her friends' enemies.

Ratings

According to AGB Nielsen Philippines' Mega Manila household television ratings, the pilot episode of Because of You earned a 19.8% rating.[8] While the final episode scored a 19.6% rating.[9]
