Meant to Be is a 2017 Philippine television drama comedy romance series broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by LA Madridejos, it stars Ken Chan, Jak Roberto, Addy Raj, Ivan Dorschner and Barbie Forteza. It premiered on January 9, 2017 on the network's Telebabad line-up replacing Someone to Watch Over Me.[1] The series concluded on June 23, 2017 with a total of 118 episodes. It was replaced by I Heart Davao in its timeslot.

The series is streaming online on HOOQ and YouTube.[2][3]

Premise

Billie has issues in life. Her parents are not in good terms and her brother Bats is jobless. While her friendship with her best friend will be put to the test when she meets four guys of different nationalities who will compete against each other for her.[4]

Lead cast

The illegitimate son of the Chinese businessman, who is rich and arrogant. He had a fight with Billie at first, an event which the both of them will never forget. And after they finally see the real "Yuan" they get along easily. He won the heart of Billie.
A Filipino promdi guy. He is a certified dog lover and he's also very shy when it comes to the girl he likes. He is Lola Madj's Grandson.
An Indian playboy who changes heart just to prove to Billie that he loves her.
A half-Filipino and half-British chef. He is also the most responsible of his friends, and he is the first love of Billie.
A street-smart and full of energy. Even when she is tired of her life, she never surrenders to help her family and find the one who was meant for her.

Supporting cast

Suzy's fraternal twin sister, Single mom, Billie's pragmatic mother and Pawie's wife. Even when she is being alone, she is being supported by her son and daughter with full of love.
One of the member of the singing trio wherein she's together with Suzy and Mamay. Her one-night-stand with Pawie is the possible reason for ending their friendship. She is the aunt and godmother of Ethan and mother of Toti and Avi.
Mamay's fraternal twin sister and Billie's peevish aunt. As Mariko's mother, she wants nothing but the best for her dear daughter.
Billie and Bats's witty and cool father and Mamay's husband. He will do everything to prove himself to his family.
Billie's loving and witty but lazy, prank and comic brother.
Andoy's sassy and cool grandmother, who is the owner of the condo of four boys. She is also Billie's adviser through the strange world of love.
Billie and Bats' childhood friend who migrated to Thailand. In her reunion with Bats, they'll have to begin their love story.
The illegitimate son of Wilton with Beatriz.
Prim, proper and polished. Even though she and Billie have their polar opposite, she is a super close friend to her cousin. She is Suzy's daughter to a Japanese tycoon.

According to AGB Nielsen Philippines' Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement, the pilot episode of Meant to Be earned a 16.8% rating.[5] While from AGB Nielsen Philippines' Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement people in television homes, the final episode scored a 10.3% rating.[6]
