Akhilesh Prasad Singh (born 5 January 1962) is an Indian politician and former Member of parliament of the 14th Lok Sabha. He represented the Motihari constituency of Bihar and was a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Currently, he is a member of the Indian National Congress and lost from Muzaffarpur in Indian general election, 2014.[1]

He was a Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Singh also lost the 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election from Tarari constituency to Sudama Prasad.[1]

Singh completed his M.Sc and Ph.D degree from Patna University. He was an MLA from 2000-2004 in Arwal.[2]
