Parugo Parugu (English: Running ! Running !!) is a 1994 Telugu comedy film, produced by Sudhakar under the Satyadev Movie Makers banner[2] and directed by Relangi Narasimha Rao.[3] It stars Rajendra Prasad, Sruthi in the lead roles and music composed by Raj-Koti.[4] The film is a remake of the Hindi movie Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983). The film was recorded as a flop at the box office.[5]

Plot

Rambabu (Rajendra Prasad) runs a photo studio along with his assistant Kittigadu (Ananth), but he is a very bad photographer who takes pictures in unusual angels by which he goes into the problems. Once Rambabu meets a beautiful girl Saroja (Sruthi), their acquaintance begins with petty quarrels, later on, both of them falls love. In her guidance, Rambabu takes proper training and becomes a perfect photographer. Neelima (Deepika) the close friend of Saroja visits Rambabu's studio to learn about an automatic camera, while he is explaining regarding it, Neelima gets giddiness and Rambabu catches her and a picture is captured. Neelima's husband Ranganatha Rao (Chalapathi Rao) is a smuggler, his wife always warns him to stop his illegal activities otherwise she is prepaid to inform Police. So, he kills her through his henchmen Veeru (Giri Babu) & Jaggu (Pradeep Shakthi) and the corpse is thrown at the city outskirts. Parallelly, Jackal (Dharmavarapu Subramanyam) another henchman of Ranganatha Rao with whose ideas he is developing. But he always sees Jackal in low profile, so, take the revenge Jackal captures a picture while Veeru & Jaggu are killing Neelima. At the same time, Rambabu decides to enter a photography contest for which he takes a number of pictures at different locations of the city. On developing the pictures, in one of the photographs, he finds Neelima's dead body. Rambabu immediately gives Police complaint but to his misfortune, the blame comes on him and he is arrested. Ranganatha Rao creates a conspiracy and implicates Rambabu more & more. But Rambabu somehow escapes from jail and decides to nab the real murderer Ranganatha Rao with the help of a Kittigadu. From that day they follow Ranganatha Rao like white on rice. In that process, they observe Jackal blackmailing Ranganatha Rao, Veeru & Jaggu for money, by showing the murder photograph. When they threaten him, the Jackal swallows the negative, they immediately kill him and makes arrangements to bury his dead body. Now the negative in his stomach is the only proof that Rambabu has, so, he & Kittigadu takes the dead body and starts running. One side Ranganatha Rao another side Police are behind them. In the climax, they all reach a theater where they play a stage show of the Mahabharata, which turns into a comic by all these groups inserting into the scene. At last, the truth is revealed by taking the negative from the Jackal's stomach and Rambabu proves his innocence. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Rambabu & Saroja.
