Neves Ferreira (or Terreiro Novo) is a village in the southern part of Príncipe Island in São Tomé and Príncipe. Its population is 511(2008 est.),[1] Neves Ferreira is located south of the island capital of Santo António.
The area is connected with the road linking the rest of the island in the north, the area is the leastly populated portion of Prìncipe together with its nearby islets. The park is part of the Príncipe portion of Obo Natural Park, that section being part of the Biosphere Reserve.
On 1 November 1929, the path that showed an annular eclipse was just southwest of the settlement and also covered the southernmost portion of the island.[2] The sky was partly dark and the weather conditions were unknown.
