Vulcan Austrian Empire Austrian Navy The ship ran aground off Fort Monfrin, Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia and was damaged by artillery fire from the fort. She was refloated and eliminated the artillery.[1]

Chatham  United States The ship was in collision with Corea ( United Kingdom) and sank in the Atlantic Ocean (42°58′N 48°10′W / 42.967°N 48.167°W / 42.967; -48.167). Her crew were rescued by Corea. Chatham was on a voyage from New York to Cork, United Kingdom.[2]

Clarinda United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland British North America The ship was driven ashore and wrecked north of Chittacamp, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. She was on a voyage from Miramichi, New Brunswick to Dublin.[7]
Kestrel United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland British North America The steamship was driven ashore and wrecked at St. Shott's, Newfoundland. All on board were rescued. She was on a voyage from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Saint John's, Newfoundland.[7][8]
Oscar  United Kingdom The ship sprang a leak and was abandoned off Málaga, Spain. Her fourteen crew were rescued by Priscilla ( United Kingdom). Oscar was on a voyage from Cartagena, Spain to London.[3][9]
