List of rediscovered films

Frankenstein (1910), a first film adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, was considered a lost film for decades until a print was discovered in the mid-1970s by a unaware film collector who bought the print in the 1950s from his mother-in-law, who also collected films.

This is a list of rediscovered films that, once thought lost, have since been discovered, in whole or in part. See List of incomplete or partially lost films and List of rediscovered film footage for films which were not wholly lost.
