2016 referendum polling

The 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum took place on 23 June 2016.

Post-referendum period (2016–2020)

The UK officially left the EU on 31 January 2020, but with a transition period within the bloc until 31 December 2020. During this 11-month period, the UK will continue to follow all of the EU's rules and its trading relationship will remain the same. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has insisted that the transition period will not be extended beyond the pledged date.[1][2][3]
