The 250 MW Silver State South Solar Project is a photovoltaic power station which is being constructed by subcontractors for First Solar.[1] Construction is expected to be complete in 2016.[1] The plant will be owned and operated by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, and power will be sold to Southern California Edison.[2]

The project occupies approximately 2,900 acres of public lands[3] and is located adjacent to Primm, Nevada, in the Jean Lake/Roach Lake Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA).[4]
