Quirino, officially the Municipality of Quirino, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 8,573 people.[3]

Formerly known as Angaki (also spelled Angkaki in some sources), the municipality was renamed in June 1964 to Quirino in honor of Elpidio Quirino, the sixth President of the Philippines.[4]

In the 2015 census, the population of Quirino, Ilocos Sur, was 8,573 people,[3] with a density of 36 inhabitants per square kilometre or 93 inhabitants per square mile.
