History
Manurewa is generally regarded as a safe Labour seat. Louisa Wall won the Manurewa electorate in the 2011 election and was returned to the 50th New Zealand Parliament;[3] she had opted not to be on Labour's party list that time.[4] She was back on the list (in position 12) for the 2014 election but won her electorate comfortably.[5]
