Sarah  United Kingdom American Civil War, Union blockade: Pursued by the armed clipper USS Onward ( United States Navy), the 100-ton schooner, a blockade runner with assorted cargo from Nassau in the Bahamas, ran aground at Bulls Bay, South Carolina, and subsequently was burned by her crew to prevent Onward from capturing her.[2][3]
