Arthemise  France The brig collided with Mentor (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Jersey) in the Isles of Scilly. After picking up the crew of Mentor, Arthemise was run ashore.[7]
Hero  United Kingdom The Bideford polacca brigantine slipped her moorings in the harbor at Penzance, England, during south-southwesterly hurricane-force winds. Four of her crew and two others drowned.[8]
Kate Sarchet  United States The 184-ton sternwheel paddle steamer was stranded.[9]
Mentor United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Jersey The ship parted her cables in the Isles of Scilly and collided with the brig Arthemise ( France). The crew managed to get on board Arthemise which then was run ashore.[7]
Pauline  France Carrying railway iron from Ardrossan, Scotland, to Rouen, France, the schooner was driven onto Crow Bar in the Isles of Scilly.[7]
