Simplified Chinese 广州地铁14号线
Traditional Chinese 廣州地鐵14號線

Line 14 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit line partly in operation in Guangzhou. Line 14 is a rapid suburban metro line along with Line 21. Both lines are envisioned to connect and promote development in the northeast regions of Guangzhou. Line 14's unique role means that it has many design features that make it different from other Guangzhou metro lines. For example, several stations will have passing loops to allow for express and local stopping patterns.[1] The trains in Line 14 will reach a maximum service speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).[2] These considerations will allow for passengers to travel from outer Guangzhou to the city center in one hour. The mainline planned to run north east of Guangzhou from Jiahewanggang in Baiyun to Jiekou in Conghua. The Knowledge City line was originally planned as a branch line of Line 14 but is now its own distinct sub-service. Passengers will use a cross-platform interchange between the Line 14 mainline and Knowledge City line at Xinhe station. The line is planned to run from Xinhe in Baiyun to Zhenlong in Huangpu.[3] Line 14 is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2018.
