Procurement
Due to the ongoing South China Sea dispute, the Indonesian Army has ordered 8 Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopters. The procurement would also include APG-78 Longbow Fire Control Radars and 140 AGM-114R3 Hellfire air-to-surface missiles (ASM).[161] The total cost for this procurement is around $295 million.[162] 4 of the ordered Apache helicopters will be stationed in Natuna Islands, an island within the South China Sea.[163] The Indonesian Army are also reportedly interested in purchasing 4 Boeing CH-47 Chinook transport helicopter and 17 Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk utility helicopter[164][165]
