Enborne Copse

Enborne Copse is a site of Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It is based in Enborne in Berkshire.[1]

Geography

Enborne Copse covers an area of 11.9 hectares.[2] The woods are described as a Broadleave, mixed and yew woodland located in a lowland area.[3]

History

The wood was classed in 1985 as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.[4] The current woodland boundary is almost identical to that shown on Rocque's map of Berkshire in 1761.[4]
