E! is an Asian television channel, owned by NBCUniversal was officially launched on 14 October 2007. It features entertainment-related programming, reality television and Hollywood gossip and news.

History

E! in Asia was officially launched by Prime Minister of Singapore's Lee Hsien Loong on 14 October 2007 in held at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, the channel launched its first American reality television program Keeping Up with the Kardashians, starring Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner by Astro Nusantara of Astro Malaysia Holdings and Lippo Group for Indonesia on channel 46 (now was closing ceremony for Indonesia moved to Astro and NJOI of Astro Malaysia Holdings for Malaysia on channel 712).

In 2014, the channel launched its first local Malaysian miniseries Facing Up to Fazura (starring Fazura) began in mid-December.[1]

In addition, E! also produces E! News Asia Specials which focus on the success stories of Asian celebrities such as Aaron Aziz, Anne Curtis, Jay Park, and Lisa Surihani.
