GNN or Global News Network is a dedicated news and public affairs cable channel based in the Philippines. It broadcasts through Sky Cable, Destiny Cable and Cablelink nationwide and broadcast also in some parts of Asia through Global Satellite TV (GSAT), and online via Ustream.tv. Among the covered countries in Asia are: Japan, North Korea, South Korea, China, Mongolia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia. Its studios are located at 6th floor, First Global Building #122 Gamboa St. cor. Salcedo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.

Format and history

GNN the Global News Network is a dedicated News and Public Affairs TV Network dedicated to nation-building. From a small and passive network in 2008, GNN has expanded its programming and reach in just two years. In Metro Manila, GNN is broadcast over the Global Destiny Cable on channel 8, and via Digital Terrestrial Television on Channel 44 (owned by Gateway UHF Broadcasting). On GSAT - the Global Satellite GNN is on channel 1. Three UHF free-TV stations have been successfully established in the past 6 months; for Pampanga UHF 44, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga UHF 43 and Naga UHF 48. Three cities will officially launch in June 2012 in General Santos, Roxas City, Capiz (Channel 43) and Cebu City.

Currently, GNN is carried by more than 200 cable operators in 17 regions nationwide. GNN has an estimated of 10 million viewers and still counting. GNN is on live streaming on Justin.tv.
