Premise
Katrina Alegre is the best friend of Alma Bautista. Katrina was Frederico Gonzales's first love but, Frederico's mother Concepcion Gonzales forced Frederico to marry Lisa Cortez. While married to Lisa, Frederico fathers two daughters from his wife and from Katrina. Frederico gives Katrina a bracelet which was found one day in the same room where Lisa was found dead.
Katrina is imprisoned although she claims her innocence. Her daughter, Erika Alegre Reyes (Sunshine Dizon) is adopted by Mando Reyes (Ian de Leon). Alma marries Frederico. Warren Bautista (Alfred Vargas), Alma's son, lives at the same house where the Gonzales live. There, Warren and Nicole (Iza Calzado)'s attachment grows.
Life changes radically for Nicole when Frederico decides to support Erika when Mando dies. He gave Erika a place to stay in his home, which is much richer than where she had originally lived. Erika envies Nicole for all she is and has, even Warren's love.
Soon after she steals Warren from Nicole, Erika puts her eyes on Nicole's new boyfriend, Kenneth Villareal (Mark Anthony Fernandez), the son of the MBS Network owner, who Nicole met during a trip to Singapore. She tries seducing him, but Kenneth's love for Nicole is stronger than Erika thought. Katrina is released from jail shortly after.
