Zakaria Edris

Datuk Zakaria bin Mohd. Edris is a Malaysian politician. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Libaran in Sabah. Presently he is a member of Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) from 2019.[1] He had earlier left United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in the opposition Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to become an Independent in 2018.[2]

Political career

In the 2018 election, UMNO fielded him to contest the Libaran parliamentary seat,[3] facing a new candidate Irwanshah Mustapa from the Sabah Heritage Party (WARISAN) and subsequently won.[4][5]
