At the beginning of the 21st century, a series of famous singers such as Hong Nhung, Thu Phuong, Ho Quynh Huong, My Tam, My Linh, Thanh Lam, Phuong Thanh, Dan Truong, Thanh Thao,... all created release hits that bring light music or vibrant, youthful. As of 2015, The Asia Song Festival (Festival of Asian music), has created many opportunities for cultural exchange between participating countries. Artists representing Vietnam at this festival include My Tam (2003), My Linh (2004), Ho Quynh Huong (2006 & 2008), Lam Truong (2007) and Ho Ngoc Ha (2009). Many of these Vietnamese artists hope to grow the entertainment industry by engaging in festivals, shows, etc., in other countries.

Paris By Night is music show biggest overseas

Artists who have been in international relations pertaining to the music industry include Lam Nhat Tien, Trish Thuy Trang, Tuan Ngoc, Bang Kieu, Minh Tuyet, Nguyen Hung, Nguyen Thang, Andy Quach, Duong Trieu Vu, Don Ho, and many more. During the 2000s and 2010s, C-pop, K-pop and J-pop had already started to spread to the Western world. K-pop had already spread to South East Asia and it was a big influence for the Vietnamese entertainment industry. Vietnamese bands began to include many of the K-pop, C-pop traits that made it popular including its fashion, choreography, instruments, etc. However, overseas sales have not rapidly increased as hoped.

Currently, YouTube is the main platform for international exchange. V-pop has spread to the nations South East Asian and surname have already received the ecstatic and modernized genre of music this. At the end of 2005, singer My Tam released the album Void. In mid-September 2007, My Linh re-released her three old albums including Made in Vietnam (2003), Chat with Mozart (2005) and Let love sing (2006) with the help of Pony Canyon Records in Japan. Made in Vietnam was later named Radio-I in Nagoya, Aichi City as the best album of the month.

At the end of 2006, My Tam made his fifth album "Soaring" in Korea and released his album here and in Vietnam, at the request of Nurimaru Pictures.

In recent years, V-pop has started to attract much attention from the international community because young singers with completely new music styles such as Son Tung M-TP, Min, Amee, Hoang Thuy Linh, and Monstar. .. Many songs, albums have entered many prestigious international music charts. V-pop has gradually become a leader in the Southeast Asian music industry. Especially Son Tung M-TP, many of his songs have achieved high rankings on the international music charts, reaching the top trending of many countries and territories on YouTube. On the YouTube front, many young groups and singers such as 365daband, Son Tung M-TP, Soobin Hoang Son were quite successful when the song reached a large audience. Currently the most viewed music video of V-pop is "Bong Bong Bang Bang" (365daband) with more than 450 million views.

In 2019, Son Tung M-TP has collaborated with the world famous rapper Snoop Dogg to release the song "Give It to Me", which not only resonates loudly in Vietnam but also reached the top trending YouTube of many countries around the world including the United States, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan,... In addition, he was also praised by the famous newspapers in the world. praised include: The Source of American hip-hop magazine Hip Hop praised and called him the Phenomena of Asia, won the World Music Awards world award for winged praise and called him Prince of Music. In 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic, Min and Erik released the propaganda song "Jealous Coronavirus", the song became popular worldwide and was praised by many famous music magazines like Billboard.
