Current elected officials
Patty Schachtner was elected to the District 10 senate seat in a special election on January 16, 2018.[2] She also currently serves as the St. Croix County Medical Examiner and as a member of the Somerset School Board.[3] Schachtner is also a former member of the Star Prairie Town Board.
The special election was to replace the previous senator, Sheila Harsdorf, who was appointed to serve as Wisconsin's agriculture secretary in November 2017.[4]

The southern part of the 10th senate district is located within Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Ron Kind.[6] The northern part of the district is located within Wisconsin's 7th congressional district, represented by U.S. Representative Sean Duffy.[7]
