The Wichita Falls Force are a junior ice hockey team in Wichita Falls, Texas. Founded in 2018, the team is a member of the USA Central Hockey League (USACHL) and plays home games at Kay Yeager Coliseum.
History
In 2017, the North American Hockey League's Wichita Falls Wildcats folded after the ownership could not sell the team.[1] This left Wichita Falls without hockey for the first time since 2002. On June 28, 2018, the USA Central Hockey League announced that they would expand to Wichita Falls for the league's inaugural season.[2] The team would be named the Wichita Falls Force through a name-the-team contest[3] and the coach was announced as Misko Antisin by the league. The logo and team colors were revealed on August 28.[4]
