Tseghakronism
Tseghakronism (Armenian: Ցեղակրոնություն translit. Tseghakronutyun) is a national/ethnic and political movement towards a renewal of the spiritual, behavioral and cultural identity of the Armenian people. "Tseghakron" literally means "carrier of race " referring to those who represent and carry what is the spiritual and biological essence of the "classical" Armenian. However, it is often erroneously interpreted to mean "race-religion".
The movement was founded by Garegin Nzhdeh, and his associates Hayk Asatryan and Nerses Astvatsaturyan later refined it as the ideology of Taronism (Տարոնականություն) - an organic part and continuation of Tseghakronism.
