From Barauni, train is hauled by a Samastipur Loco Shed based WDP-4 diesel locomotive until Darbhanga and vice versa.

The train share its rake with 12769/12770 Tirupati - Karimnagar Superfast Express and 12761/12762 Seven Hills Express.
