Pantufo or Pantufu is a town in the Água Grande District of São Tomé and Príncipe. It is located 5 km south from the capital São Tomé and is 11 km south of the São Tomé International Airport. Its population is 1,119 (2008 est.).[1] It is considered the only urban settlement in the country, apart from the capital.[2] The origin of the name is of Angolan origin.
Tourism is the main industry, Estalagem Pantufo is its main hotel and resort of town.
Southeast is the town's primary school and around the area is a secondary school.
