Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, officially Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana, is a deemed university at Mullana near Ambala in the state of Haryana, India. It was founded in 1993 in the name of Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji.[2]

Infrastructure

The campus includes 14 hostels and six residential blocks. It has a sports complex with seven gyms, a swimming pool and eight game arenas. The campus has two shopping centers with two banks, a post office, a petrol outlet and various eating shops. Also on campus there is an auditorium with seating capacity of about 2500 and an open air theatre with a capacity of about 4000 person.[4]

Transportation

The university is located in Mullana. There is a major university road that connects the town to the university. Many local taxis, cabs, HSRTC buses and private buses are available to reach the university The university has arranged for bus services for students and staff from nearby cities such as Ambala, Chandigarh, Jagadhari, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Bilaspur-Sadhaura, Patiala etc.
