Long Lake is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within Thorhild County.[1] It is located on the west shore of Long Lake, approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) east of Highway 63 and 114 kilometres (71 mi) northeast of Edmonton.

Demographics

As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Long Lake recorded a population of 63 living in 31 of its 165 total private dwellings, a change of −14.9% from its 2011 population of 74. With a land area of 1.96 km2 (0.76 sq mi), it had a population density of 32.1/km2 (83.2/sq mi) in 2016.[2]

As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Long Lake had a population of 74 living in 37 of its 196 total dwellings, a -26.7% change from its 2006 population of 101. With a land area of 2.47 km2 (0.95 sq mi), it had a population density of 29.96/km2 (77.6/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
