List of tallest buildings in Ireland

Obel in Belfast

This is a list of the tallest buildings on the island of Ireland. The island of Ireland remains one of the world's lowest occupiers of skyscrapers and tall buildings. As of 2017, a number of proposals were made to potentially change this,[1][2][3] with developments proposed for Limerick,[4] Cork[5] Galway,[6] and Dublin.[7] The island's first tall building was Liberty Hall, built in 1965 and stands at 59.4m (154 feet). The current tallest building on the island of Ireland is the Obel Tower in Belfast at 85m,[8] with the tallest in the Republic of Ireland being The Elysian in Cork at 71m. Capital Dock, under construction in Dublin as of December 2017, is expected to become the Republic's tallest at 79m when complete.[9] [10]
